Pros: Design, style, Good names (F.A. Porsche, Bosch), ease of use, and electricity friendly.
Cons: No clock or auto mode, price.
The Bottom Line: If you have the money and love form over function, love cool design and style and like coffee then buy one. It will stand out in your kitchen for sure.

| dus10's Full Review: Black & Decker ODC150 12-Cup Coffee Maker |
Well a $300 coffee pot is a little hard to get your head around and in fact if it hadn't been given to me as a gift I don't know that I would have ever bought one. I saw it in stores all the time and loved it's design and looks. Having been a Porsche Design and a Porsche car fan since I was a kid made it an instant appeal, but it was one of those appliances that you would love to own but just can't see yourself spending that much money for. Well is it worth the money? That depends on perspective. If you look at it from a design/ style perspective and as another decoration for your house with a cool brand name, then yes it's worth it. If you look at it from a functional stand-point then you'll realize that it's lacking some very rudimentary functions that come standard on any cheap-o coffee pot ie... a clock with an auto timer function. As far as ease of use it's top notch. It has it's own separate aluminum skinned water pitcher which you fill to the desired level by watching these really neat diamond windows that turn black as the water rises and then you set the pitcher back on it's pedestal...no pouring water! The filter is one of those super fine gold mesh filters so you never need paper filters and it comes out very nicely for cleaning. The pitcher is a high quality aluminum skinned, glass lined pitcher which doesn't require heating elements in the coffee maker to keep the coffee hot; it will keep the coffee hot for hours and warm for over a day! The operation couldn't be any simpler, two buttons that turn it on depending on water quantity and it turns itself off when finished brewing. The build quality is good but for $300 it seemed to me that it could have been better. Everything is skinned in aluminum but the innards are all plastic and fairly normal.
