Normally I am awake well before the crack of dawn - in fact I usually have to turn my Black & Decker coffee pot on. But on the rare morning that I sleep until 5 a.m., I don't need an alarm clock to wake up.
The smell of fresh brewed coffee creeps into my bedroom, twirls around my nose and my eyes open wide. A perfect alarm clock - plus so much nicer than a buzz, beep or a shrill pulsing sound.
My alarm clock is my Black & Decker Spacemaker 12-cup Coffeemaker! The coffee is all set up the night before (that's my husbands job) and we use the clock/timer to start the coffee automatically brewing at the desired time the next morning. Wonderful. As I stumble to the kitchen I am able to use the "sneak a cup interrupt" feature to get my first cup of the day. This feature allows the carafe to be removed for one minute before the coffee begins to pour out again. But, one minute is all I need to pour that first cup. It also has a hot plate that the carafe sits on to keep the remaining coffee piping hot.
My Black & Decker Spacemaker Coffeepot fits under my counter, leaving my work area free. The water reservoir and timer controls are behind a door to make cleanup easier and avoid splatters. The coffee brew basket slides in very easy and is located above the glass carafe. The entire look of my Black & Decker Spacemaker Coffeepot is clean, sharp and modern.
Why would I choose a Black & Decker Spacemaker Coffeepot? Well, my last one lasted 6 years - pretty good when you multiply that times 365 days a year, that 2,190 pots of coffee! Calculating that it cost $50, that's about 2 cents a pot - not bad! Plus, and most important, the coffee tastes great!
The Black & Decker comes with a short cord to reduce safety hazards and also has a 2 hour automatic shutoff. How nice not to worry all day if I left the coffee pot on. Black & Decker also warrants this coffee pot for two years, but I have always found that my coffee pots last much longer than just two years.
The unit is very easy to install under your cabinet. The directions are excellent, they include a template so you can make your drill holes and they even include an 800 number if you need extra help or have any questions. It installs in just four easy steps - position the template, drill four holes, screw in the brackets and slide the coffeemaker into the brackets. Easy.
Try a Black & Decker Spacemaker Coffee Pot with the automatic timer - throw out that loud alarm clock! Wake up to the smell of fresh brewed coffee and just follow your nose to the kitchen. What a wonderful way to start the morning!
