Pros:Lightweight, good power, easy to use, fast and handy to have.
Cons:Battery power is drained faster
if the job is to heavy.
The Bottom Line: If you don't already have a lightweight drill, The Black And Decker 7.2volt cordless, keyless chuck is an excellent one to buy.
The Black And Decker 7.2 cordless drill with a keyless chuck is a great lightweight drill to have for just about anyone. It weights about a 1lb with it's battery, it can easily be held in one hand. For the person who does not know tools well it is very easy and safe to use.
My six year old son was able to use it safe and accurately when he helped me build the dog house. It has enough power for most light and quite a few medium duty projects.
I have had mine for 3 years now and I would not do without it. In fact I have one which uses one battery and one which uses two small batteries. I keep two extra batteries for the two battery drill on charge in the plug in charger and keep two in the drill. They can be popped out in an instant by the push of the battery release buttons on the drill. Depending on how heavy the job is the battery life is a couple of hours, more than enough to finish the average job.
I also like the fact that it has a keyless chuck This makes changing bits much faster. Instead of having to use a chuck key to loosen and tighten a bit into the chuck when you want to change all you have to do is push down on the nose, pop out the one that is in and put in the bit you want to use now.
The battery pack can cost $25.00 dollars or more to replace it, so if you are considering other tools which are cordless you might want to take in mind that it is handy, more convenient, and more economical to buy tool which can exchange the same battery. In 3 years I have not had to replace my battery yet, and this little drill of mine gets plenty of use. I doubt if a week goes by that I don't use it for something.
For those of you who don't have the arm strength to be using a screwdriver all the time this little drill is the perfect solution, And for those of you who are concerned about your kids misplacing expensive tools this little one is perfect. Average price is about $30.00, but you can get it for less around holiday time, like father's day.
The only thing I think that is bad is that this drill spoils you so, with it's versaility that there are times I wish that it had more power and could still be as lightweight.
I would certaintly recommend the Black And Decker 7.2 cordless to anyone who might be considering an Easy To Handle inexpensive, powerful versatile little drill.

Originally I baught this drill because I was working on a project where I did not have electricity available. I have used many drills, but never had used one with a battery pack and was concerned about it being to heavy, but I still wanted enough power for the job, For $29.99 battery included I figured I'd take a chance, and I am glad I did.
