Pros: Will suck the chrome off a trailer hitch....
Cons: Bag size could be larger.
The Bottom Line: Great suction with wet or dry material, easy to use, light, mulches into bag so less quantity of material. Good Product, highly recommend it.

I had been thinking about buying a leaf vac for years, but heard all the stories about "they won't suck up wet leaves, or they are too loud." Well I finally broke down and purchased a Leaf Hog from Black and Decker at Home Depot, and it work's fantastic. My yard has planting beds that are (with the exception of the planting areas) covered in red shale. So in the fall, when all the leaves drop it was a major pain trying to get the leaves off the shale, and into the bags. This leaf hog works great, it sucks up the leaves, (and the rocks if you're not careful), wet or dry. It has a large intake, so I haven't had problems with clogging, and although I do use ear protection when I use it, it's not nearly as noisy as I had heard some of these can be. I was very impressed with it. It chops up the leaves so you're left with much smaller quantities of bags (great when you have a front bin pick up once a week like we do).
Not only will it suck up leaves, but pine cones, twigs, saw dust off the lawn etc). A really convenient way to keep the lawn, and all your beds in immaculately clean condition. I also use it to clean up after I've weeded in the garden. Run a Japanese hoe under the weeds and once they are loose, just walk in with the Leaf Hog, and it sucks them right up. I understand that you can get a waste bin attachment, but it's an option, and I think I'll get one next spring.
It switches from vac to blower with ease, and once you get the unit hanging correctly off your shoulder its very balanced and easy to move about. I have had no problems with it.
