| menchari's Full Review: Black & Decker SmartGrind Deluxe CBM7B Electric Bu... |
I bought this grinder to replace a much used blade grinder. It was only $15 and $5 more than getting the same one again. That and the ability to adjust the grind size I couldn't resist. Before too long however; Just how many things can I list for problems. The first problem I noticed was the mess. The container for the grounds does not meet tightly with the grinder body and so some of the grounds spill out. That and the static electricity causes the grounds to stick to the side. A light tap will knock it loose but be careful as the plastic container cracks easily. The second problem is cleaning. The grounds get everywhere. On the counter top, under the ground container, up the side of the body. Oh yes and digging the grounds out of the spout all the time. Give the grinder a few taps upside down and you will have grounds dropping out from inside the machine. And yes it does eventualy cause a problem for inside the grinder. Which leads to the third problem. Sooner or later the grounds will get into the machinery and do some damage. It would have been nice if the inside was easily accessable to clean it all out but just finding the odd screwdriver that would work is an adventure in itself and is not worth the effort. Not surprisingly it is now sitting in the garbage after just two months after purchasing it.
