Actually, my mother first bought this Black & Decker blower for herself to blow off her driveway and sidewalks. She bought me one soon after because she loved hers so much. I told her, I didn't know why she spent the money because I really didn't need one (or so I thought). I soon began using this frequently to clean off the sidewalk, deck, garage, and other small uses around the yard. I quickly realized why she loved hers so much, as I soon loved mine just as much!
This really is so handy to have around the house! You can quickly whip it out and clean off your sidewalks in much less time than it takes to actually sweep your sidewalk. It is very lightweight, and so easy to use! No cranking, plugging and unplugging, it's simply grab and go! The on/off switch is large, and easy to flip on/off. The nozzle on this blower is always nice and long, so it keeps you from having to bend over. You can easily walk the area you are cleaning off without ever bending over!
As with all cordless tools, it does have the issue of battery life, but I realize this is for small jobs. 1 battery lasts me about 15 minutes, which is long enough to blow off the areas that I need to. It comes with 2 batteries and a charger, so I always keep 1 battery charging so if I need another battery, I always have 1 waiting.
I think this is a great tool to have around for smaller jobs; however if you are needing much more power then you may need to opt for a gas powered blower, but this one is perfect for me!
