Syntax's Full Review: Black & Decker Laptop Power To Go Cordless AC/USB ...
The Bargain I bought this item at a Black and Decker outlet store. I only paid $5 for it.. now I know why they were so cheap.
Employee Didnt Recommend After I had already bought the item a week earlier, I hadnt used it yet, I was back at the store looking for something they were sold out of the previous week, I considered buying another one of these, not having opened the first one yet. The employee told me that they were a bad product, the majority of them didnt hold a charge, and if they did powered down very quickly, not making them really usefull for much.
My Dead Product I plugged the item in after unboxing it, and sure enough several hours later, no charge.. As I write this review Ive had the product 2 months now, I plugged it in a week after I bought it, and here it sits.. Its actually still plugged in.. I just checked it.. lights flash red and green, 1 bar charge, and it turns off. Guess it takes more than 2 months to charge it..
Really.. total junk, If it did actually work, I was planning to use it to boost my phone when it got low.. maybe charge my ipod a little.. but the battery itself doesnt even hold a charge less be able to charge something else.
Bottom Line A brand new one might work.. Maybe the refurb I got was just broke, but the employee knew that most of them didnt work. Maybe they werent refurbs but clearance and discontinued. I wouldnt waste you money on one of these, I only paid $5 but I could have bought lunch, or something that lasted 10 minutes.. At least Id have felt I got something for my money.. With this thing.. I feel I wasted my money.
