I bought this harness because it was on a recommended list of gear for a month long climbing/mountaineering trip I took to Alaska. For that trip and others since then, it has served me well. Basically it is a no-frills harness that just does what it is supposed to do, and does it very well. No wonder, many climbing schools and services use it as their standard.
It is fairly easy to get on and off, which is especially good when you are wearing several layers of clothes. The adjustable leg loops are a 'must have' for any mountaineering harness, not only for clothing changes, but for nature calls. Believe me, I was extremely thankful on the Kahiltna Glacier in AK.
The only negatives I encountered is the difficulty in putting a locking carabiner through the waistband and the lower part of the harness. This could get tricky sometimes when you have a Gore-Tex shell on and it is hard to see. The other thing is, it is pretty heavy compared sport climbing harnesses. So if you are looking to redpoint that 5.12, you might want a lighter harness. But for winter mountaineering and climbing, this is one harness that does the job right.
