| cecil_sinclair's Full Review: Black Eyed Pea |
The original Black Eyed Pea located on Cedar Springs in Dallas is a very relaxing place to have dinner with friends, family, or date. The wait staff is efficient and friendly and the portions are generous. The restaurant is kitchy, filled with antiques and home canned jars of food.
The noise level is low enough to have an intimate conversation, but does not inhibit diners from laughing and carrying on when they feel the need.
My favorite reason for visiting is the lack of children. This restaurant has the ability to serve children but to my constant delight when I visit at least once a month for either dinner or lunch I don't see or more importantly hear children.
If you like large portions, FABULOUS deserts, sassy waitstaff, then head on down to this Black Eyed Pea and get ready for relaxed meal and fun time.
Food: The chicken fried chicken is great, the chocolate deserts are to die for. Stay away from the meatloaf and fried cheese.
Service: Good Service.
Decor: Fun kitchy decor... not too dusty at all...
Special Notes, Tips or Menu Recommendations: Chicken Fried Chicken is fabu!
Any of their chocolate deserts are heaven sent!
