Pros: good size loaf, cleans easily, lid removes, timer,
Cons: no "light crust" setting, loaf shape is not convenient, loud beeper
The Bottom Line: I recommend it for quality bread and a durable machine, however, I'd consider some of the features before purchasing.

| skfayer's Full Review: Black & Decker B2000 Bread Machine |
This is my second bread maker, so I thought I'd known what I was looking for.. plus I'd read epinion reviews, so how could I lose?
However, after baking my first loaf of bread I'd realized I'd overlooked one of my favorite features:
NO LIGHT CRUST SETTING - Instead, I now remove my bread 10 minutes early, I like a soft light crust.
HORIZONTAL LOAF - Why is this all the rage? It makes a strange square loaf, so we cut of the top first to make more manageable size slices cutting horizontally.
LOUD BEEPER - I am a sound sleeper, but my one year old daughter is not. I try not to use the timer at night or it starts her howling!
This is all the drawbacks we have found.. otherwise these strong benefits make our house smell like a bakery:
EXCELLENT RECIPE'S - some creative ideas, and no loaf has flopped yet!
QUALITY MACHINE - very durable, well made.
GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE - A page was torn from my recipe book (not their fault) but they sent another free of charge.
In short, I heartily recommend Black and Decker, but may have shopped around for another model (i.e. an upright). Happy baking!
