| greenie3's Full Review: Black & Decker B2000 Bread Machine |
I purchased this machine after spending an agonising 2 hours at my brothers house smelling the aroma of freshly baked bread, knowing I was on my way to the shops for some of the good old pre packaged, mass produced sliced variety.
Well surprise! My shopping trip landed me a bread maker - bugger the groceries. Until I'd smelt it for myself I was one of those people who just couldn't even be bothered with just the thought of making my own bread.
Now I have to be honest and say there was no great strategy or thought process into selecting a particular machine, this was after all a spur of the moment decision. I chose Black & Decker simply because it's a name I trust. I have several of their appliances and have not been disapointed yet. I was not to be disappointed with this purchase.
Now that I have it mastered it's a breeze. My first loaf was a disaster! I have always been a slap it in, mix it up, serve it up kind of gal, so even when the instructions stressed to measure ingredients carefully and add them in the correct order, did I listen? No I did not! And so the first loaf could have been mistaken for a brick. My second loaf however was perfection - with a capital P.
I'd like to give credit to my own cooking expertise, but this machine does all the work. Versatility and ease of use make this a favourite in my home. Your loaf is cooked in around 2 hours. Your senses are stimulated longer! Use your own ingredients or buy packaged mixes (I recommend the rye) and you'll soon have your kitchen smelling like Nannas used to.
