| arielle's Full Review: Black & Decker T2200 Toast-It-All 2-Slice Toaster |
It seems that in today's high paced world there are more and more things that you need a good toaster for. It used to be for toasting bread and that was about it. Now there there is an endless supply of toaster pastries, bagels, hot pockets, and pop tarts just to name a few. To be able to satisfy all customers, Black & Decker created the Toast-It-All T2200 two slot toaster.
Even though it gets used for bread toasting most of the time, I notice other things making their way into it. There is one problem with all these different pastries, some of them leak. We had another toaster prior to this one but I can remember the problems we had trying to cleanup after a leaking toaster pastry did it's thing. When this happened with the Black & Decker Toast-It-All T2200 I just pulled out the crumb tray, washed it off, dried it, and put it back in the toaster. The mess was all cleaned up. And speaking of toaster pastry there is a special setting for these.
I guess one of the first things we tried was a Pop Tart. I was very happy the way the self-adjusting bread guides prevented the thin Pop Tarts from moving around. The next was a bagel and this also fit very well into the slots. We've even now tested breakfast pockets and these too have come out crisp and hot without making a big mess or for that matter getting stuck. Have you ever tried to get something out of the toaster that stuck when trying to pop up? Of course we all unplug the cord prior to sticking a fork in, Right! I haven't had anything get stuck since we've owned this toaster. It's been over a year so I feel safe mentioning it now.
The exterior is always cool to the tough so I don't worry about a plastic bread bag rubbing up against it when it's on. The four rubber feet keep it from moving all about or scratching your counter top.
Over the years I've sometime thought that the Black & Decker name was associated with cheaper products. I don't necessarily mean price but I refer to quality. I have been very happy on both counts with the Toast-It-All T2200, I'm sure you will be too!
