May be trashy but hey, she's rich (Reply to this comment)
by djtphn1
Yeah, I bet Britney will be laughing all the way to the bank about her so called trashy new piece of work.....I have not listened, nor am I a fan, however, she is not sitting here trying to make an extra buck on epinions, either......not downplaying what we do here or on any other writer's forum, but if we were rock stars, I don't think we would be doing this....so, I have to give her credit for her not giving up, and throwing in the towel after all the bad reviews she is getting in the media these days....yeah Britney, you go girl with all your neurosis and character flaws, hey you are human afterall!!!!

I hope some kids learn from this horrible mess obviously her sister didn't
her talent is miniscule-she can dance, thats it.
Hollywood is so weird it's certainly not about talent-look at Pamela Anderson-good grief
Great review

That was an incredible line. Also loved the way you equated this with a steaming bag of poop.
Fantastic review.

I don't know if it's just because of my experience as a foster parent, but I'm pretty much at the point of - it's Britney's trainwreck, and no amount of anyone else hoping she'll clean it up is going to actually help her clean it up. She either will or she won't. It's unfortunate that there are kids involved, but seriously, there are zillions of trainwrecks out there just like her - and very few of them make the news. I find a sadistic sense of the public's implied superiority to Britney in the way the news has covered her stories that I just have a hard time participating in - even from a sympathetic point of view.
I'll listen to her music and have my opinions about it, but I try to actively avoid reading/hearing stories about her personal troubles (good luck with that, Paul). I know and care for women personally who have lost or given up their children (and whose children are now my children) due to addictions and harmful relationships, and from them I've learned that nobody is merely the sum of their bad choices - that everyone's story has it's own unique complications, and that sympathy is often just another form of scorn.

Fantastic review. I particularly liked the comparisons to other artists that you used-Andrea True Connection...yeah, I'd say that's pretty apt. And you were incredibly fair in your review as well, balanced the good and bad aspects nicely.
I hope she gets her trainwreck of a life together.
I think by this point we're all hoping for that (or at least, we all should). Good luck to her.
Again, excellent take on this.

Thank you kindly, Dayo. A Balogun MH always makes me feel a little warm inside. Glad to know it wasn't just an oops.

I think my "Most Helpful" rating says it all. Even with the seemingly endless stream of Blackout reviews lately (and a quality one, too), I was preparing my own outtake on it...until yours showed up.
Great job, Paul!

Paul:
Nice review.
Jim Farber of the NY Daily News wrote that it sounds like the first album ever recorded by a blow-up sex doll. I think that about covers it for me.

Ha...me and a co-worker said that the first week sales on this album would be so much better if she just OD'ed already. Cruel, but true.
Best review of this album I've read so far.
And when did you turn into Paul Giamatti? Nice pic.

This is simply an awesome review. I've been trying to put one together for a few days now and you basically said everything I couldn't put words too, except more eloquently than I would have managed. I still might take a shot at one, but this is the best this site will see. Hands down.

defiantly insubstantial, obligatorily lewd, sexually robotic and virtually unmusical
It sounds like she's becoming this generation's Samantha Fox or Pia Zadora.
I've got my two dollars set aside to pick this up used. (Like I've guiltily done for the rest of her records.)
All joking aside, I hope she gets her trainwreck of a life together.
