| guxiaoxiao's Full Review: Sony Net MD Walkman MZ-N1 Personal MiniDisc Player |
SONY MZ ¨C N1 is the best high-speed net MD Walkman player / recorder among all the other homogeneous products until now. It can record MP3s or CDs at up to 32x speed, which supplied with a USB cradle for charging and Easy PC connection. Featuring a 3-line dot matrix LCD display, up to 110 hours playback, an "Easy Skip" group/folder function, ATRAC3 playback and the support of multiple Internet audio formats, this recorder utilizes affordable MD media for over 5 hours of music storage on one 80-minute disc. A backlit LCD remote with editing functions, a rechargeable battery and AC adapter are also supplied. Record from the Net in no time with NetMD!
I bought it for about 6 months, and I felt it just perfect, even a bit expensive for about $400 at the time I bought it, when it just launched in China. With Silver appearance, light green LCD displayer, and relative less buttons, it can¡¯t be perfect like this. MZ ¨C N1 can use two types of batteries, one is the slim shape like gum, and the other is normal shaped battery. The former one can run longer (I did not count the exact time) for at least 10 hours. After several months using, there¡¯s few problems, that when I record the MP3, it always stops working, while the displayer show it IS recording, so I have to restart the computer (I am going to get it to repair center recently). Expect this, others run quite well, and the software OpenMG Jukebox is ok as well, I have updated once from SONY website, and it is obvious better than the old version. And one important factor I want to emphasis that there is an ¡°frame¡± (I don¡¯t know the name of it, just call the frame), shows on the bottom of real product picture, this frame is made by plastic, and it should be used when charge up (electrification) and recording music, but it¡¯s hard to bring with travel. So I think you should be cautious about it. I think that¡¯s what I feel until now, and wish you could enjoy it as me.
