Pros: Great sound, Large potential storage capacity, Quick PC-to-MD song transfer
Cons: price, somewhat-buggy software, intermittent mechanical "whirring" noise
The Bottom Line: This is a good player, but possibly not the best if you want to spend time looking for others.

The Experience
The portable, light Player delivers high-quality sound with little hassle when dealing with PC-to-MD song transfers. The software, OpenMG Jukebox, is user-friendly and allows for quick MD-editing. When I used it(includes cassette adapter and car-power adapter) in my BMW, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and I could seriously ask for nothing else. My favorite built-in function is under the "Sound" setting where you have 2 levels of additional Bass to choose from(I like the highest level, Sound2). There are a ton of built-in functions that allow you to edit your MD with just the Player alone; These include deleting songs, rearranging their order, renaming them, recording songs using an optical cable (included), microphone, or any other cable for the Player's Input, and many others. The OpenMG Jukebox software gives you the option to transfer songs from PC-to-MD as one of three formats: LPT1(96kb), LPT2(128kb), or Stereo. Your decision will determine how many songs you can store on an 80-min. MD(80 min. for stereo, 160 min. for LPT2, up to 5 hours for LPT1). I recommend LPT2 because that is CD-quality at 128 kb. whereas LPT1 is cassette-quality at 96 kb. MDs themselves are cheap (b/w 1-2 bucks each), durable, shock-resistant, and visually appealing. Despite all these "pros", there do exist tradeoffs.
Problemos
As stated above under "Cons," the software is somewhat buggy because it will freeze/crash randomly; I noticed crashes consistently occured whenever I simultaneously played music through OpenMG and recorded an MD. Also, OpenMG does not display all the tracks in my MD whenever it is first opened so I have to press F5 and refresh the display, at which point all tracks would appear. Another issue is the mechanical noise that occurs intermittently, usually after every few tracks. It is noticeably loud enough to become annoying after awhile.
Final Say
I have used and am still using this Player and I'm still very happy with it. I noticed that some small screws have fallen out due to many a fall on concrete, but the Player is resilient and continues to perform its functions well.
