The Zerg from the greatest game ever, Starcraft(in my opinion)are represented as an action figure with the Hydralisk. My opinion of this figure ranks right in the middle between the Protoss Zealot and the Terran Marine. The Hydralisk is an effective character when used in mass numbers from the beginning of the game right through to the end of the game.
The Hydralisk is about the same size as the other two figures and has been designed with the same minimalist detail. The figure is predominantly chocolate brown with lighter shades for detail. There are some scales on the big head piece, down his arms and along the back of his tail. The eyes are pitch black orbs and the mouth opens and closes. There are teeth inside the mouth but the larger piece that separates in the middle in the game doesn't come apart in the figure.
The Hydralisk is movable at the torso, neck, sholders and elbows. Is is not that posable. Because of the thin base where the majority of the tail touches the ground(the thin end of the tail doesn't help balance) and top heaviness of the figure it is hard to balance. Like the Zealot it is not made to display on your monitor. I know one guy who has used a piece of scotch tape across the tail to keep it standing.
I recommend the Zerg Hydralisk to any Starcraft players who like to use the Zerg or just appreciate them. It would make a great tribute to all the hours the game has probably sucked out of your life like it has with mine. I would also recommend this figure as a gift to any younger children as it's a scary monster that they could have fun playing with.
