Pros: HIGHLY effective, pleasant aroma, a little goes a long way.
Cons: Expensive, but in my opinion, worth every penny.
I bought this product because it contained emu oil -- I'd had the opportunity to try the emu oil after I had destroyed my pinkie finger. The emu oil relieved the dull ache and moisturized the finger at the same time.
What I didn't expect was that this product would stop pain dead in its tracks, anywhere.
I'm at a point in my life where there are most likely fewer days ahead of me than behind me, and when some of us reach that age, it hurts. My hands and fingers hurt a lot, my hips bother me, one knee is a barometer that lets me know with a dull throb that bad weather is coming. But, Blue Stop literally erases all of that.
Blue stop is a sort of gel and cream combination. It's very cold when it goes on unless you rub it into your hands really well before you apply it. Sometimes we breathe on it to warm it up a bit. And, a little bit goes a long way. When applying, massage the product into the flesh on the area where pain is felt, and then cover that area. There's a cooling warmth that spreads over the area and, the better you massage it, the deeper you feel it.
I cannot truly articulate how well this product works on aches and pains other than to say that it's highly effective. My mother-in-law has arthritis in her hands to the point where the pain woke her up every single night. We insisted that she try the regular formula of Blue Stop, and she called the next day, nearly in tears, telling us that she had slept the entire night without pain. These days, just for added strength and effectiveness, she uses the arthritis formula and has been able to resume knitting and crocheting -- a passion she had long since had to give up.
Blue Stop has a mildly mint-like smell, but it doesn't permeate the house or even the room where it's been applied.
This product is quite pricey (up to $28 for an 8 oz. container) but, when you weigh the cost against the value, it's worth the money.
