| Kristenlov's Full Review: Blue's Clues Inflatable Thinking Chair |
The Blues Clues Inflatable Thinking Chair is another example of cute concept but poor design. The chair itself is absolutely adorable. It is a close replica to Steve's thinking chair with an added twist...a musical paw print on the arm rest. Blue's paw print plays the Blues Clues theme song when activated by just a tap of the hand.
The chair is designed just the right size for a toddler. The seat itself is ideal for most children one to four years of age. However, depending on their weight and how they distribute it in the seat, the chair can easily tip over. One way we learned to control this was to let some of the air out. If the chair was completely full of air it was more apt to lose balance with a squirmy toddler in tow. One suggestion I would have for the creators of this product would be to design it was a larger base.
My son loved to sit in his chair to watch Blues Clues everyday. He would drag it from room to room. Unfortunately with all the lovable wear and tear he put on it, the time came to sing a Blues Clues "Well it's time for so-long" farewell. The inflatable material of the chair was very thin making it simple for holes to form. Four patches later, the final little nick was made to deflate what was left of his most prized possession. Although my husband and I did our best to resuscitate it, the Blues Clues Inflatable Thinking Chair had sung it's final song.
