I have inherited dark circles made worse by not sleeping - ever. I have many concealers, most of which are decent but can't tackle my problem circles.

One I like is Bobbi Brown Professional Concealer. This isn't my favorite but might be one of my top faves if I had "normal" dark circles.

Packaging

This .06 ounce quarter sized compact is black plastic with a tiny inside mirror. There are 11 shades to accommodate most skin tones. All are yellow based, which is the best hue to zap under eye circles.

My Use

I own Ivory and Sand in this concealer. My thinking was lighter is better but Ivory looks unnatural on me. Sand is a perfect match.

This concealer is creamy and dense. You swipe your finger or a concealer brush across the top and dot or brush it carefully under and around the eye area.

It blends well and isn't cakey. It is creamy - almost a bit greasy - and doesn't tug at the skin.

When I first apply this concealer, my circles are completely gone. I look great, if I do say so myself. However, after about three hours, I have to reapply because the shadows return.

Reapplying is quick and simple and doesn't look unnatural even if done several times throughout the day.

As I said, each shade has a yellow undertone, but they do not need to have foundation over them to look natural.

Bobbi Brown sells a special corrector for really stubborn circles like mine that can be used first which really gives circles a one two punch.

This concealer alone is wonderful but only for a few hours. I think, because it is so creamy, it tends to fade or wear off. Or maybe my shadows just are so stubborn that they simply will not allow any concealer to hide them.

Despite the small size, this concealer lasts a long time. You don't need much. I had had mine for months and reapply often when using it.

It's compact and small enough to carry in a pocket, small bag, or even a glove box for touch ups on the go.

I want to love this and do - when I use the Light Peach Corrector under it. Alone, I love it for a few hours then curse it for pooping out on me.

Conclusion

Bobbi Brown Professional Concealer is a high quality concealer that will probably do an excellent job on "normal" dark circles. It works well for me but fades and needs reapplication. However, with the corrector underneath, it lasts longer and looks natural.

This is one of the better concealers I own (and I own a LOT of them). 4 stars!
