Pros: Large bean hopper, true conical burrs, slow speed grinding.
Cons: Large size, will not grind fine enough for top espresso makers.
The Bottom Line: Probably the best conical grinder for the price. I would recommend one without hesitation if fine grinding for espresso is not an issue. Fine performance and a bargain price.

| dargentini's Full Review: Bodum Antigua 5670 / 5671 Electric Burr Grinder |
I've used many burr grinders over the years but this is the best designed one yet at under a hundred dollars ($60-$80). I like the low static slow grind speed and large stainless steel conical burrs that are easily and quickly cleaned. It grinds evenly and consistently though the built in timer is not very accurate (most others aren't either). You really need to scoop measure you grounds when making your coffee. The machine is a bit noisy though the low speed (low heat) grinding makes the noise not as bothersome as other high speed ones I've used. The grind range is continuous from coarse french press to medium espresso grind. The espresso grind is fine enough for many stovetop makers and pressurized machines but not enough for most pump driven models if your looking for very slow syrupy extraction. For most purposes it works just fine though, so don't worry too much unless your an espresso nut. Go buy the Solis Maestro instead at $140. Cleaning after use is quick and easy and I don't find it as messy as others have reported.
