Pros: Great movement, really works the lower body
Cons: kinda cheap, doesn't really work the butt (till I make some changes to it ;)
Well after reading such good reviews on this product, I finally decided to buy one. It was between this and the bun and thigh roller(notice the difference in the names). The only place I could find the rocker was on ebay, for about 50 bucks, talk about a great deal. Well it turned out to be a great product, but there was one thing I was afraid of from reading other reviews, and it was true. It works out your thighs, more than your buns. Come on, a great butt is what everyone wants. It's the one sexual part of you, you can actually improve. Anyway, the movements seems to be fine enough to workout your butt, you go from a really crunched up position if you want, to being totally long and extended, however the problem is in the resistance, not the movement. Those bands (i think they are nylon) give more resistance the more stretched out they are, so when your in that starting position that has your butt muscles stretched out to the max and ready to flex, there is almost no weight your working again. Even if you put on more bands, they become too unnatural of a movement to really benefit from (i was shaking from the weight, 10 pounds on each side seems to keep a smooth ride). The solution: free weights. I haven't gotten them yet, but I think i can put a two 25 pounders (the cheap ones you guy at a fitness store, NOT the big thick ones you see at the gym)where the bands attach to. In which case i'll update this review. Till then I give this sucker a four out of five for now. P.S. If you do decide on the bun and thigh roller instead, make sure you get a yoga mat. I hear if you use it on the carpet or tile it will push back on you.
