Pros:Fast paced, takes little room, educational
Cons:Nothing I can think of.
The Bottom Line: This is a game that takes little time, has a small playing field and stores in a small area. It's fun and educational for younger players.
Boggle is a small game played in a short period of time that returns big time fun. It's know as the Original 3 Minute Word Search Game. The game is ideal for ages 8 and up including 2 to 6 players. There's really no reason why more players can't play. As long as people can see the cube and the letters in it, they can play.
The game consists of a plastic container (cube shaped) with a clear top and sixteen die with different common letters on each side. The letters are shaken in the cube and fall into the grid making a four by four form of different letters visible.
The idea is to make words out of those letters by visually connecting them up, down, sideways, and diagonally to make words. The players write down the words as they discover them. The more letters used in a word the greater the value. The three minute timer makes each round quick and (though quiet)action filled.
Points are given by the amount of words and the length of the word.
Part of the fun of the game is the more level playing field for people of different ages and game know how. Mostly simple three and four letter words can be found. That means youngsters are in the game just as much as the Mensa peeps that may be more intelligent but can't find longer words anyway.
Never played? Try and see how many words you can make in three minutes using these letter and using them to make a word using them. Letters can be "attached" to make a word if they meet up, down, to the side or diagonally. Letters can never be used twice or more.

There are many more. The fun is using the three minute time to find words and then compare them with each other. I am always amazed at all the words that are there but I missed. At the same time I have words that are different than others.
I enjoy this fast paced game that takes little room and is excellent for on the road too. (but not for the driver).
You can't miss with this as a small gift that brings big fun.
