Re: The more I analyze the movie, the more I miss my $10 (Reply to this comment)

Hi!
Thanks for the comment!
I actually watched "Casino Royale" last night and one of the things I DID think was weird was that the car that he totalled enough to lose a tire would be intact by the beginning of the next movie. But there IS a bit of time that is taken up in the last fifteen minutes of "Casino Royale;" it potentially represents months of time. Still . . .
Yeah.
Thanks for reading!

If you had seen Casino Royale, Bond's DBS was destroyed near the end of the film before he kidnaps Mr. White. In this film, he starts out the movie with it while taking Mr. White back for interrogation.
Does it seem logical to give a spy a half-million dollar racer? And more importantly, how'd they get it to him so quickly?
And more importantly, why isn't it ond's Vanquish in Die Another Day?
This movie is all action and no sensibility.
I don't know jack about playing Texas Hold em, but even Casino Royale peeked my interest in Poker to the point I tried to learn it.
And how many times will they change the EVIL organization's name?

Hi!
Thank you for the comment!
According to the IMDB, "Quantum Of Solace" begins about an hour after "Casino Royale" and is intended to be a rather straightforward sequel to that movie. That said, whatever happened in "Casino Royale" that was essential to "Quantum Of Solace" seems to be well-enough encapsulated in this movie. From "Quantum Of Solace," I assume that Bond was hunting Mr. White, that in the process he fell in love with and was betrayed by Vesper, and that when Vesper died, Bond went a little psycho. :)
Thanks for reading.

As always, you review the piece thoroughly and insightfully. You do owe it to yourself to see Casino Royale though, it's terrific. I doubt it really adds anything to Quantum to see it first - Bond movies don't tend to operate like that - but as itself Casino is tremendous fun.
