Bunnies on the High Seas: The Tale of Henry and the Buccaneer Bunnies
Written: Aug 17 '06 (Updated Aug 17 '06)
Pros:Funny story of pirate bunnies, richly illustrated
Cons:None.
Are pirates to be feared even when theyre bunnies? Well, it is apparently so, from this tale of the crew and life aboard The Salty Carrot where Barnacle Black Ear must deal with his disappointment at his son Henrys love of books rather than loot.
Henry is ostracized by the crew due to his bibliophile ways and his fathers punishment does nothing to slake his thirst for books and knowledge, all of which becomes apparent (and very important) after a storm renders the Salty Carrot asunder and the bunnies overboard.
It is here that Henrys love of books comes into play as he proves his worth to the Buccaneer Bunnies in ways they never imagined.
My daughter enjoyed the illustrations and laughed throughout as the dialog speaks to every parents inner pirate bunny. A well done tale.
