Cons: None worth mentioning
I discovered Steven Saylor's latest work by chance browsing in my local library. It is the first book of his that I have read and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Whilst not quite up there in the unputdownable category, it is well constructed, informative, imaginative and entertaining. As a result I have a much clearer notion of the events which led to the founding of Rome whose later Republican and Imperial history have long fascinated me. This book has left me eager for more of Saylor's work.
