I spotted Booth's Breathe Easy Body Wash when placing an online order and purchased it as I thought it looked interesting. I was right.
Product
Booth's Breathe Easy Body Wash comes in a semi-opaque plastic bottle with a flip-nozzle dispenser which is located on top of a screw-on cap.
On the front of the bottle is the same basic Booth's label you may have seen on some of their other products. It's white with small lettering many may have issues seeing.
Claims
The manufacturer claims that this body wash is a "cure for what stuffs you up, even if it's just the cobwebs in your head."
Ingredients
Water (Aqua), Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Cocamide DEA, Menthol, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil, Mentha Viridis Leaf Oil (Spearmint), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Glycerin, PEG 7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Polyquaternium 7, Tetrasodium EDTA, Benzophenone 4, Citric Acid, Styrene Acrylate Copolymer, Copolymer, Sodium Chloride, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Red 33, Blue 1 (taken from the site from which I ordered, drugstore.com)
Use
I already had a stuffy nose by the time my order containing this body wash arrived, so I couldn't wait to use it.
In the shower, I read the directions. I flipped open the cap and gave it a good whiff. Immediately, I was reminded of VapoRub. I dispensed about a nickel-sized dollop on my shower pouf. The product is medium-thick, and is robin's egg blue. As instructed, I massaged the body wash vigorously all over (except my eyes, of course).
This product lathers nicely, so you'll definitely know if you've missed a spot! As the scent and the steam of the shower began to co-mingle, I could start to feel my nasal stuffiness abate.
The scent comes on strong with the scent of the eucalyptus oil and menthol. Even if you aren't stuffed up, this will spring your eyes open pretty much no matter how tired you are. It's definitely uplifting. I don't mind it as my love of all things minty is pretty well known among those who've read my reviews. The scent, interestingly has a "finish" to it, much like a wine or beer. The finish is definitely the spearmint oil.
As I rinsed off the body wash, I noticed my skin felt slightly moisturized. Although the wash was very easy to rinse, there was a pleasing smoothness left behind. That's not even a claim, so I was pleased.
Of course, my favorite part came as I stepped out of the shower and realized I could breathe through my nose!
The scent of the body wash did not stay on my skin, but it did stay in the bathroom, then wafting into the bedroom for several hours, albeit in an understated way. I didn't find it at all unpleasant. I could still feel the relief in my nose off and on for the rest of the night.
I am a shower person, but this can also be used in the bath by simply pouring a capful or so into hot running water. The steam rising from the water will enter your nasal passages, and hopefully give you relief as it did me.
Cautions
See a physician if redness, a rash, or itching develops. Of course, keep out of reach of children.
Recommendation
I love this product, and give it my highest recommendation. It performed exactly as promised, and I even experienced a little needed moisturizing on my skin. Despite the fact that the scent is strong, I find it invigorating and love to use it for a morning shower to wake myself up. I also know it helps beautifully for stuffy noses.
I'm giving Booth's Breathe Easy Body Wash...
