Born to Fly is the third album for Sara Evans. This is another CD that I borrowed from my sister. It was one that I wasn't sure if I wanted to spend the money on until I was able to listen to the entire thing. It is another album that I have added to my wish list.
On this album you will 11 great cuts. This album came out in 2000 on RCA records. Here are the songs on the album:
Born to Fly (Sara Evans, Marcus Hummon, Darrell Scott) This song went to #1. It starts out with the drums playing. It is about a young girl dreaming to see the world and to find in love. She has plenty of time, but she wants to rush everything along. It is hard for her to wait for things to happen because she was Born to Fly.
Saints & Angels (Victoria Banks) This song is about a couple that when they are together they become Saints & Angels. I love your imperfections-I love your everything. It's a true love; she loves everything about him.
I Could Not Ask For More (Diane Warren) This is a beautiful ballad. She is listening to the rain thinking of how thankful she is to have her partner. Every prayer has been answered and every dream comes true because of him.
I Keep Looking (Sara Evans, Tom Shapiro, Tony Martin)
She keeps looking for something more. She is always wondering what is on the other side of door #2.
I Learned That From You (Tony Lane, Jess Brown)
She is looking back on an old high school love. She remembers being together in the summer and thinking that those days would last forever. She loses him to drinking. She learned that some dreams weren't meant to come true.
Let's Dance (Sara Evans, Randy Scruggs)
She wants to dance and hold each other all through the night. She wants to feel his touch and have a wonderful night together, one that she will never forget.
Why Should I Care?
This song sounds like the typical woman. She breaks up with this guy, but then she doesn't want anyone else to be with him. Why should she care if he is in love with someone else? She didn't care enough to keep him around. She let him go but now she finds that she does care.
Four-Thirty (Hillary Lindsay, Bill Lloyd)
She needs him right now and if she got on the road now she would see him by four thirty.
Show Me the Way to Your Heart (Sara Evans, James Leblanc)
She is trying to figure out how to break down the walls to get to him. He has been hurt in the past and it is hard for him to trust. She tells him that she will never hurt him.
You Don't (Sara Evans, Ron Harbin, Aimee Mayo)
He doesn't know how she feels inside and how bad her heart breaks. She cries in the dark. She begs him to stay and then has to watch him go.
Every Little Kiss (Bruce Hornsby)
There is a nice piano introduction to this song. She thinks about what she wouldn't do just to be able to talk to him. She misses every little kiss.

My very favorite song on this CD is I Could Not Ask For More. It is absolutely gorgeous and is exactly how I feel about my husband. Sara has a beautiful voice. I was impressed to see that she was the co-writer on 6 of these songs. It is always impressive to me when an artist not only sings, but writes much of their material as well. That is a true talent.
