Pros: Best hand slicer I ever used. Highly reccomend it any home chef or professional.
Cons: Used coirrectly, there are no cons. Blades very sharp, use the guard!
The Bottom Line: In the food business and at home, presentation is 65% of what you give your guests. The V slicer gives you the affordability to produce a uniform perfect cut.

I have owned the V slicer for at least 20 years. I owned a pizza shop and for 6 years used two v slicers to cut all my vegetable toppings. 6 years and 50 pounds of green pepper a month, 50 pounds of onions a month, 60 pounds of roma tomatoes a month. It was a work horse and saved me hundreds of dollars in industrial slicers, even food processors can't beat the V slicer. Since I purchased my first v slicer, I have probably bought another 10 of them, great gifts to the home chef. BUT.........don't put them in the bottom of your dishwasher!!!! My sons learned that one night, it warped! Luckily, I had a spare! Great product, and I'm just getting into another pizza shop and the V slicer is at the top of my equiptment list, Truly a product worth the cost, and built to last.
In a fast paced kitchen you need quality and versatility in the items you use. Knifes that don't hold an edge are dangerous, complicated slicers are not for fast use when your busy. The V slicer is the one tool that is always ready for the fast pace of a commercial kitchen. When you use the guard, the V slicer is safe, fast and creates slices of vegetables that you can be serve to customers. Even slices, uniform and perfectly cut. The other blades give you great fexiblity in preparing soups and sauces the size of the cuts are perfect for any dish, again, uniform with that professional look. The V slicer is one tool I will always have in my kitchen of my pizza shop or my home kitchen. I prize the V slicer as I do my fine German knifes, tools of the trade I cannot work without.
