| dominic42's Full Review: Bosch 3.25HP Electric Plunge Router 1619EVS |
I chose this router for a few reasons, 1 the opening in the base is 3.5" this allows me to use my 3.25" router raiser bit, 2 bosch put a lot of thought into this router for table mounted use. the plunge springs can be disengaged, the plunge depth rod locks to the base this allows the course and fine adjustments to work very smoothly. this router added with the woodpecker plunge lift plate makes for the perfect setup. the dust collection was well thought out and works great even though I don't use it in the table. the soft start is a very nice feature especially when I have the larger bits installed. the speed control is easily accessed. the only thing that I don't like about this router is that you have to hold the spindle lock in. I upgraded from the craftsman 3.5 hp and I liked the way the spindle lock worked. other wise this router cant be beat in my opinion.
