washerloader's Full Review: Bosch SHE4AM02UC 24 in. Built-in Dishwasher
We bought this dishwasher because we heard much about the quality of Bosch appliances. We love the quietness of this dishwasher (Bosch she4am02uc); however, there are several features and performance problems that detract from its performance. First, when coffee cups were positioned on the sides of the upper rack, the dishwasher did not remove all the coffee stains on the outsides of the cup. They have to be repositioned in the middle of the rack to accomplish this. Second, the silverware basket has a snap down slotted top. Silverware is to be dropped down through the slots, but the bottom of the basket is so configured that the pieces slide around and do not line up easily for the best washing configuration. Third, the bottom of the basket has four raised corners that prevent the basket from staying in position on top of the wire bottom of the rack. Removal of these corners improves positioning on the rack. Fourth, the rear line of tines for plates and dishes on the bottom rack is too close together, forcing one to place dinner plates in ever other one. The front right tines are properly spaced, but that area can only hold six plates max. Finally, the spaces on the bottom rack between the wires are too far apart to place some of the small dinner pieces. In all the, bottom rack design leaves much to be desired.
