When my husband got me these to go with my iPod for my birthday he was more excited than me to take them out of the packaging. I didn't understand why until I took a listen for myself. Wow! These are great and he told me later that they were also for me to take on flights with my portable DVD player. I am always complaining that it is hard to hear the movie over the roar of the plane engines. Not with these!

They are super soft and don't hurt my ears and are light weight so I don't find them slipping off with the slightest head movement. I love the compact case that they fold up and fit into and the alternate plug adapter is a nice bonus (although I haven't needed more than the standard plug). The case that comes with them has a nice little outside pocket that fits my nano which is great! I just drop the case in my purse and hop on the plane.

The base is excellent, like nothing I have heard out of headphones. They don't have a tiney sound that many headphones have and the cords are more of a string material and not plastic like cheap headphones usually have. It seriously sounds like you are at home with your surround sound! Bose definitely makes high quality sound products. Although I have a system from them in my car, I never thought that head phones were a big deal until I listed to my (insert 80s band here) with these!

Although I about had a heart attack when I saw the $199.00 price tag, I definitely love them and wouldn't take them back...they were a gift afterall and I don't want to hurt my hubby's feelings!
