I am an audiophile by nature and while driving in my older 1994 Chevrolet Z71 I quickly realized there was something left to be desired in the music coming out of the speakers. The factory speakers sounded flat and I could not stand it. After I finally had enough, I decided to upgrade the factory system. I went with a Sony head unit and Kenwood amp, but at the center of my new stereo system was a pair of Boston Acoustics G1 subwoofers. I was absolutely blown away at this subwoofers performance. I originally bought them for sound quality as I don't much care for booming around town, however when I hooked them up I realized that these subs are good at producing much more than just sound quality. These subs are LOUD. No matter what kind of music you listen to you will not be disappointed with these subwoofers they are the best I have heard to this day in sound quality and for being only 200 watts rms these are extremely loud. Another great thing about these subs is their shallow mounting depth which allowed me to mount them in a custom enclosure under the back seat. They will fit almost anywhere and can go in either sealed or ported enclosures.
