| whoknewbutu's Full Review: Bowflex Revolution Home Gym |
I love this machine so much that I bought the company. Well If I had the money I just might have!
I have had my revolution for about 4 months now. This is the best workout machine that i have ever used. I have been using gyms for years and I would rather use this machine than to go to a gym anytime.
This is the only time I have ever been cussed out by the UPS man. he was not happy hauling all the boxes to my door. All 5 boxes came within 2 days of each other. The quality of this thing blew me away. 99% of this is solid metal and that is including the attachments! I was very impressed.
Took me about 2 hours to put it together. All the tools and nuts and bolts were clearly marked and every nut and bolt was there. Directions were the best i have ever read for something like this. Directions made it very easy to understand and use the right parts. I put it together myself but having someone to help would be a plus since a lot of the pieces are HEAVY!
I bought the revolution with the 80# upgrade, machine mat, and I-trainer. I do not see myself ever using that extra 80#'s. The upgrade consists of two 40# plates.
Now the one bad thing was that the bowflex mat and i-trainer showed up 2 weeks after the bowflex. And it was a hard time for me to get that mat under the machine.
the i-trainer software is actually pretty nice. It is full of videos showing you all the different exercises and how to do them and also has workouts built in and will keep track of your workouts.
I also ordered the accessory rack. I love this thing. Holds everything in one place. Now the rack itself weighs almost 50# and is 2 ½' L x 2 ½' W x 3' H. So it does take up some room.
I somehow managed to fit everything in a 12'x12' room with my computer desk. and when folded it really is not that bad at all...The gym's footprint shrinks to 55x37 in. with the arms and bench folded.
Now since the revolution is 9'4" long when extended it does take up some room. It is about 6' tall when folded up. My girlfriend has a really hard time folding the revolution into the upright position.
I was a little worried about how the spiraflex would feel. Smooth! I love it. I have noticed that some of the plates will squeak when you first use them but quickly stop. I could bench 200# at the gym and can only do about 100# on this. The workout is great and the burn is great. The ease and quickness of changing exercises is awesome!
Bottom line for me is that it was expensive, but for me it is worth the investment.
On a side note I was told by Bowflex that the warranty is non transferable. Which is why i decided to by from them instead of off someone who already had one.. And i wanted to have that 10 year warranty...
