| kleighb's Full Review: Braun D6011 Personal Oral B Plaque Remover |
My dentist recommended the Braun Oral-B Plaque Remover D 6011 because my gums were very sensitive and receding. This brush has toughened up my gums, reduced plaque and sensitivity.
I use this toothbrush along with stim-u-dents to keep my teeth the cleanest and most plaque-free they have been in my entire adult life.
It is actually fun to use, and encourages you to get to all areas of your teeth. I think this would be a great product for a child to use to get them to brush their teeth thoroughly and properly, without brushing too hard and damaging their gums- which is what happened to me.
I have been using this toothbrush for over a year now, and 2 trips to the dentist have made me a believer in its effectiveness. Both of my trips were shorter, less painful, no cavities, and my dentist was almost as pleased as I was. My sensitivity has decreased, and I have been able to stop using toothpaste formulated for sensitive teeth.
The brush heads are interchangeable (for multiple-member households) and have a color-coded band you can slip onto the heads to identify the owner of each brush-head. I also find that these brushes wear better and longer than regular toothbrushes. The center of the brush is blue, and fades with use, so you know when to replace it.
The battery lasts a very long time, even if you take it on vacation without the charger for a week and spend 3-4 minutes brushing your teeth.
I highly recommend this brush to everyone, both young and "experienced". It does an excellent job and decreases the problems which can be caused by brushing too hard or using the wrong toothbrush. It is a lot to pay for a toothbrush, but you only have one set of teeth...
I purchased my brush online via Yahoo! Shopping. Many vendors carry this product, and finding the best price should be a simple task.
