| junkot's Full Review: Braun MR 430 HC MultiQuick Single-Speed Handheld B... |
I saw a similar product on TV shopping kind of commercial before, and I'd been interested in the product ever since. But it was expensive. I think it was about $69.99 or so(and plus shipping and handling), and I often heard that many TV shopping products were not as good as we saw in commercials, so I decided to wait until people start saying their opinions about the product, (if As seen on TV products became popular with good reputation, they would be available at store like Bed Bath and Beyond and at discount price! if offline discount stores carry them, I don't even need to pay for S&H. these were what I thought).
I did not hear opinions from other people about the product, but Bed Bath and Beyond store start selling this Braun Maltiquick. (they send me circulation weekly with coupons, so I learned that they got this blender product). I thought that Braun made this products because the one I saw on TV was kind of good. But Braun one is much cheaper than as soon on TV one. I think Braun made three different models, I think the most expensive model cost $60 or so.(but still cheaper than As seen on TV one). I did not need the Delux one. I purchased this MR 430 HC model. This model can whip, chop, and mixing. The price at Bed Bath and Beyond was $29.99, but with their weekly coupon (20% off any items over $20), my price became $23.99(before tax).
I always needed help for making dessert (to whip cream and fluff eggs particularly). making fluffy egg need time bit even with this Braun MR 430 HC, but I can make whip cream in second! I was really impressed. But like I said, for example to fluff eggs need more time to keep whipping. it really gets me tired. (causes shoulder ache). this machine has no switch for on/off, but there's something like button to press to stop or to make it work. once you press, and want keep doing it, you must keep pressing the button. a small woman like me easily gets tired and need rest often during preparing for cooking. it's a kind of frustrating, but after I practiced making cakes with this machine several times, I seem to have been getting used to it. I've been able to fluff eggs faster and whip cream in seconds now.
I did use the chopper for vegetable, I don't know if it was because I pressed the button to make the machine work longer or the vegateble I put in the container was small amount, but I got ground vegetable instead of chopped vegetable. we may need to practice to control power button like whipping function as I mentioned. I have not used blending function yet 'cause I don't make something like puree or juice at home.
I think this machine is helpful. I have tried to make a cake before I bought this machine with non-electric wrisk. it took for hours for me to fluff eggs and cream. But now I can prepare butter for cake about in 10-15 minutes and cream in seconds, and price is also good. I recommend to everybody who cook at home.
