| calmo28's Full Review: Breads of India |
What do I love about Breads of India? Well, I am a big fan of Indian food. It is very difficult to find good Indian restaurants in my experience, even in the Bay Area where great restaurants abound. As for taste of food, Breads of India is top notch. I have been there twice and been satisfied both times.
Most recently, i went to Breads of India for lunch. I had a tandoori tiger prawns dish with garlic naan. Naan is a flatbread that is baked inside on the inside wall of a clay oven. It is a thick bread that you can use to eat Indian food with your hands (Indian custom). My tiger prawns were sizzling hot on a skillet served with raw onions. I was disappointed with how many prawns were given to me, about 5, but they big and spiced wonderfully. Also served with the meal was rice and Indian salad, which is basically lettuce and cucumbers. Everything was fresh and well prepared. The lunch cost $16 total with hot chai tea.
The complaint I have is the wait. It took over 40 minutes to be served, and this was on a day when they not busy at all. When we prodded the help, we were served quicker, so remember that if you need help when you visit.
This is a good place. The place is small, so it is not recommended for big groups.
