jazzgals's Full Review: Breville 800JEXL 1000 Watts Juicer
A couple of weeks ago I fell asleep in front of the T.V. and awoke at 2 a.m. to an infomercial on Jack Lalanne's Power Juicer. In my late-night haze, I had an epiphany --- this guy is onto something! The next day I did some computer research on juicers and found the Breville 800 JEXL juicer. It was love at first sight. Heavy duty die-cast stainless steel designed in Australia -- the Maserati of Juicers. I went into Macy's to check it out, and it was on sale for $299. A hefty price tag indeed, but I figured if I didn't like it, I could return it. I ordered "The Juiceman's Power of Juicing" by Jay Kordich through Amazon used books, and have been on a juice-craze ever since. This machine is amazing --- juices anything in split seconds -- leaving only dry pulp behind. It doesn't fit under the countertop, but who cares--it looks great. Cleanup is easy. You're supposed to clean the juicer after every use, but I use it 3 or more times a day, so I just leave the vegetable pusher in the chute and it keeps it air-tight until I'm ready to clean it in the evening. Cleaning is quick as well, and with the heavy-duty stainless parts, I'm not nervous about breaking it when I clean it. I'm very excited about my new juice regimen and looking forward to being healthier because of it. Thanks Jack Lalanne, and thanks Breville for making a beautiful machine! Wow...it's hot outside...I think I'll have some watermelon juice on ice...ahhhhh.
