Pros:relatively quiet lots of juice fine, dry pulp looks great! easy to clean durable
Cons:a little heavy (which means sturdy!)
The Bottom Line: If you're going to juice at least several times a week, this juicer is a great investment
For three years I owned a Hamilton Beach and used it almost daily. It was difficult to clean and the pulp was so wet, plus my poor hubby had to hide when I used it because it was so loud! Enter the Breville. Now I don't care where my hubby is, because it's so quiet and because it's my new love! This thing has two speeds so it's not overly complicated to use and you get as much juice as possible out of your soft fruits and hard veggies and everything in between. Carrot pulp comes out so fine and dry you could sprinkle it on top of carrot cake... that sounds like a great use of the pulp! And it's very easy to clean- I rinse mine after each use and stick it in the dishwasher once a week. One minor issue is that mine blows a bit of pulp/juice out of the gap between the body and the pulp collector, but I solved that and made cleaning easier by putting a plastic bag in the pulp collector and pulling it up over the gap. The unit looks nice too, which is a good thing, because if you're an every day juicer you're not going to want to lug it's significant weight in and out of the cupboard every day! In short, it's worth every penny, and you can easily find it online for $200 or less. A great investment!!
