My husband wanted a new toaster. He specifically wanted a 4 slice toaster with a high lift lever to replace our cheap, old 2 slice toaster. He came home with this, for MY birthday. I was impressed by how it looked. It looked modern and fit in with the rest of our kitchen. It's a stainless steel color accented with black. There are 2 long and wide slots instead of 4 short slots. That way we could also toast long bread (like sourdough). The slots were wide so waffles or bagels would fit.

I liked the lift and look feature, so I could peek at what I had toasting without shutting it off and the high lift feature so I didn't have to burn my fingers or unplug it and use a fork trying to get smaller breads out. I also liked that it has a Cancel button so I don't have to force the lever to go to the off position.
There is a defrost button that I'm supposed to use when doing waffles, but I never remember to. It also has a Reheat button and a Bagel button. I haven't used either one of those yet.
There is a dial button to set the temperature you want to cook at. It has a digital display that goes from 1 to 9. On the display are little lines that tells you how much longer your food will be.
As great as all that sounds, I HATE this toaster! Neither the kids or myself like burned food, so we usually set it at a 1 or 2. Anything above this will burn our food. Now, normally, this works, but sometimes I have to put it in for an extra cycle at 1, but then I have to use the lift and look feature A LOT to make sure it's not burning. Since we have 6 people in our family, I am often doing a lot at once. After the first two batches, even a 1 will burn the food. It is often toasted unevenly.
I also have to stand near the toaster with a plate and hope to catch the bread because when it's done, the bread literally comes flying out! This happens more with regular bread than it does with waffles.
