If there is a cat in your house, you will know what I mean when I say, there are never enough toys, treats or beds to truly keep your cat happy. Well, that is a bald faced lie. The real story is the cat person just cant resist trying purchasing a new, intriguing or just plain cute something for the feline who owns your heart. There are so many beds in my apartment that are designed for my pets, that I can barely make a path. Well, maybe not quite that bad, but any person who shares a home with a cat cannot possibly pass the cat isle in any store without stopping to do some serious thinking about adding to the collection of stuff at home. Sometimes, you know what you are looking for or you just want to pamper your cat with something new and are not quite sure what you had in mind. Every person owned by a cat, has an indelibly marked Sucker on his or her forehead. That marking can be sign only by sales people at PetSmart and other Pet shops and then the games begin.
One of my first purchases was this Brinkmann One Story Condo. I purchased it at Wal-Marts for about $12.00. Its been a little over 7 years ago, so my fuzzy logic is just that, fuzzy. I picked this bed for my first cat because at the time, we lived in a 2200 square foot house with concrete floors stained and cut to look like large tile. It looked very nice but the floor could certainly get cold and my husband like to keep the thermostat at least 68 or below during the winter to save on electricity. So, Nermal (my cat) sometimes felt it hard to find a nice warm place to sleep where the people were. I thought for $12.00 this looked like it would just do the trick. The Brinkmann One Story Condo comes to you fully assembled. It is treated with catnip, although Im not sure how long that lasts. The covering of the condo is a medium loop champagne Berber, claimed by the company to be stain resistant. Either it is, or we just never had anything spilled on it. Because when I chose to give it to someone else recently, it pretty much looked like it did when I bought it. The Brinkmann One Story Condo measures 13 ½ inches by 13 ½ inches by 12 inches in height. As to the shape of the condo, it is in the shape of a rather short stubby cylinder, closed on both ends and a hole in one side about 8-10 inches in diameter. Im sorry, but I do not have it in my possession at this time. I have given it to my brother and family for their new four legged family members. Their home is quite large and I am now living in an apartment. I find I can do with less stuff so Im always in the process of getting rid of some things. Besides, Ive long since lost count of all the beds my cats have and theyre not going to miss one.
The top is constructed so that it has an insert-featured top. This is also a good lounging place for one cat while the second lounges inside. The idea of this particular design is simple and yet functional. I had just been toying with the idea of getting a piece of glass to place within the insert space to serve as a coffee table. But, I decided my Brother and family needed more than I did.
I would highly recommend the Brinkmann One Story Condo to any one needs a cozy, soft and sturdy bed for their furry friend. It is constructed well, easy to keep clean and maintain (surface cleaning), and provides a cozy, soft
