Note: This is a review for the Brita Fill & Go Water Filtration Bottle Filters that are used for replacement filters for the original Brita Fill & Go Water Bottle.
Earlier this year I purchased several Brita Fill & Go Water Filtration Bottles for use in my family to help encourage water consumption. Because these bottles have been used so much I've already had to purchase replacement filters for these bottles. While this may sound like a really bad investment and rather expensive (up to $4 for a set of three filters), I feel that the use of the Brita Fill & Go Water Filtration Filters are worth it.
The Filters
When you look at the Brita Fill & Go Water Bottle Filters your first impression will probably be what mine was -- "How Can Anything So Little Filter Anything?" The filter itself is like a small cylinder with slits openings on the long side, with a round edge to hold it in place in the top of the water bottle.
To replace a filter, it's really rather easy. All you do is to unscrew the sipping part of the water bottle, take the old filter out, place the new filter in and screw the lid back together. Even a child could do this, but I usually take care of this task myself in order to make sure that the filters are changed in a timely manner.
Each filter comes with a set of reminder stickers that you can put on your calendar or even stick on your water bottle so that you can change your filter in a timely manner. A typical use of one of the Brita filters for the Fill & Go Bottle is either three months or fifteen gallons of water consumed.
Just For Brita?
One of the things that I would like to point out though is that even though these are filters specifically designed for Brita Fill & Go Water Bottles, it is possible to put these filters inside any water bottle that would have the same designed top as the Brita bottle does. All this is basically is an insert to the top of the bottle and nothing else is really that "special" about the design at all.
However, since Brita Fill & Go Water Bottles are extremely durable, I really believe that the use of these filters is better suited for the original product.
Recommendation
Naturally if you own the Brita Fill & Go Water Bottle it is natural that if you are going to continue to use the product in the manner that it was intended that you will purchase additional water filters and thus will purchase Brita Fill & Go Water Bottle Filters. With their easy of replacement and relatively economical price (at least in my opinion), I feel that these filters are well worth the purchase price and should be used as an encouragment for your family to drink more water on a daily basis.
