Pros: One of the safest around, side-impact protection, easy adjustments, a wide weight range.
Cons: The cost, but can we really put a price on our children's safety?
The Bottom Line: I would absolutely recommend this car seat. It is the safest, most comfortable around AND it will outlast most others by 20 pounds!

What a fantastic convertible car seat! If you are looking for a safe, easy to use, comfortable car seat for your little one, this is it! We bought this for our son when he outgrew his infant carrier. We used it rear-facing for about 6 months, prior to switching it to forward facing. My taller-than-average son has never once complained about being in his "throne", even on two separate 1500 mile road trips! I feel very comfortable with my choice in car seats as Britax consistently ranks as the safest around. The side-impact protection is an added benefit that you will not find on many convertible seats. My son uses the wrap-around head protection as a pseudo-pillow if we happen to be out around his nap time.
I found this car seat very easy to install and very easy to adjust. We used the versa-tether and latch system in both forward and rear positions, as well as using the seatbelt, built-in locking clips and versa-tether combo in the forward-facing position. Regardless of the configuration, I was able to tighten it down so securely so that it didn't move at all when we tested it out. The built-in locking clips would be such a blessing for those who have to use the seatbelt method often. Was it a bit heavy to lift and place in the car? Sure, but wouldn't you want something that is sturdy when it's primary obligation is to keep your children safe? The straps are easy to fasten and the Velcro side tabs make it much easier to load and unload children and to find those pesky straps. The fastening mechanisms are simple and sturdy - no more puzzle like contraptions to figure out. You can easily adjust the height of the headrest/side-impact protection with the turn of a knob and the length of the straps is easily adjusted with a push button on the front of the base. The recline angle can also be adjusted with one hand - an excellent feature considering the proper angle is essential for safety. All of these great features are topped with an attractive, washable cover.
So what more could you possibly want in a car seat? How about one of the widest weight ranges around? This seat is suitable for 5-65 lbs, allowing you to keep your toddler in a safe seat much longer than the competitors.
