Cons:Awkward to install and store and straps tangled all the time.
The Bottom Line: SAFE!! keeps youe child in 5 point for longer but harder to install than other Britax.
We own 2 Marathons and 2 Regents. We started our 4 year old out in the Marathon and mover her to the Regent when the baby came. We did not need to move her, the Marathon was still big enough, we chose to move her to a wider seat.
Let's face it Britax is the leader in safe seats for out children. They are high priced but worth it if you divide the $$ over how long you will use it. Ask yourself is my child worth $90 a year (or how ever the math works out for you).
Not sure if this is a con or pro but once it is installed... you will NOT want to take it out. Once it is in.. it is IN.
This seat is HEAVY! much heavier than the Marathon. It does not sit up on it's own when out of the car so it is sort of awkward to store out of the car. There is also a strange and awkward to install bar in the back. Britax says that the harness is "Tangle-free" Not! The straps are half as thick as the Marathon (never tangle) and the regent's straps are a constant mess.
**the highest forward-facing harnessed weight capacity available on the market today**
Keeps your child in a 5 point harness longer!
This is the ideal car seat for parents seeking a comfortable and safe
The Regent fits children forward facing from at least one year old and 22 pounds, up to 80 pounds.
The Regent is made in the USA
Wider in the seat so it is comfortable. My 4 year old loves it.
