This car seat is a great investment. It is super-safe, easy to use, comfortable, and nice-looking. But it is expensive, so buy it when your baby is little so you can really get your money's worth!

We started out with two car seats for my infant son. One had the detachable infant carrier that went with my stroller, and I have no regrets about that purchase. However, the Britax Marathon went in my husbands car. As we stopped using the infant carrier, the Britax became the car seat of choice. When my son turned one, a bought a second one for my car.

Aside from the price, I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this item. I cannot say that about any other baby care product! Below are the features that really made this car seat a stand-out:

Safety: This quality alone convinced me to give the seat a try. The Britax Marathon has received outstanding safety reviews, which gives me tremendous peace of mind while on the road.

Ease of Use: The seat is very easy to put in and take out, especially with a LATCH system. I have also attached it with the seat belt without much difficulty, although it did take longer to install. The harness is easy to adjust and, best of all, the straps never twist. The cover can be easily removed for washing, a huge plus if your child (like mine) is prone to diaper blow-outs and sippy cup mishaps!

Comfort: As my son grew to be a toddler, he actually expressed a preference for this seat over the various others installed in his grandparents' cars. It is nicely cushioned and the fabric is very soft.

Length of use: Because this seat is designed to hold infants and toddlers up to 65 pounds, you will get years of use out of it. My son, who just turned four, still meets the weight/height requirements to ride in it!
