Pros:large size, easy set-up
Cons:no recall/info button or last/back button, no arrows for menu
The Bottom Line: I would only buy this as a back-up to your other remote(s) to change channels and volume, or maybe run your other devices at a very basic level.
We got this remote for Christmas. It is very large as stated in another review, which is great for preventing loss in the seat cushions. The remote is good-looking and the buttons are easy to press.

The remote for one of my TVs seemed to be broken, so I whipped this one out and set it up very easily and quickly with the codes in the enclosed booklet. The TV has basic cable with no cable box. It has a DVD player/recorder hooked up but I did not code that device into this remote. Now we are at least able to change the channel and volume on the TV, and that works fine... but that's it.
There are several very essential and basic functions missing from this remote.
1. There is no button to identify what channel you are currently on, nor is there a button to go back to the last channel you were on. So switching back and forth between two channels requires you to remember and type in the channel numbers. These don't sound like such big problems, but until you try to live without these functions, you don't realize how important they are.
2. There is a menu button, but no arrow buttons to allow you to move about within the menu. So once you press the menu button and see the menu, you are immobilized, just looking at your menu and unable to use it. I use the menu features on my TV often, so this is inconvenient.
