Other than what the other reviewer said (no accessory box, no hard case box), my bobbin winder broke after about 3 years of use. The Brother authorized shop told me that the cassette threader eventually gums up too. This is a machine that's designed for someone who doesn't sew a whole lot and designed to be disposable after a few years of use. The shop even guessed where I bought it and he was right! I used mine quite heavily for the last two years until the bobbin winder broke. It did survive through two trans-Pacific moves and countries with different voltages with converters and was only packed in cardboard. I will continue to use another Brother machine because the overall design is pretty logical and easy to use. I bought the machine to start doing more machine quilting. This was my first computerized sewing machine and it has served me well. It'll still have a trade-in value through Brother's upgrade program.

For a machine that's marketed for quilting stitches though, it provides a short arm which is hard to sew a large quilt. Unless your batting is thin enough, the large quilt will be hard to maneuver under the arm.
