User Rating: Excellent
Ease of Use:
Pros:Wireless printing, Color Laser, Duplexing, this thing has it all
Cons:Nothing major; wireless settings might need to be tweaked to stabilize your connection.
The Bottom Line: Has every feature you would want and does it all very well.
I purchased this printer because it had so many of the features I wanted: Color laser, wireless, duplexing, scanning etc. But after using it for about 6 months, I realize it is missing one thing ....... problems. It is fantastic in all respects. The quality is very nice. Color laser printout are really nice (although still a little below a top notch ink jet using photo paper). The wireless access is my favorite feature of all. No cables other than the power cord! At first the wireless connection was just a tad flaky, but setting it to a specific wireless channel (so it won't jump around) fixed that permanently. The ability to Fax, Scan and Copy are also nice, although we primarily use it for wireless laser printing. For the true geek, you can access the firmware using a web browser (it uses an onboard web server to remotely modify the settings) and you can even access it from the command line if I'm not mistaken. This it the first product from Brother that I've ever had and I can say that I'm very impressed. The build quality appears solid and we've had not paper jams at all. We even used it to print fancy wedding envelopes and contrary to some reports, it handle that task just fine, with only slight compression marks on the sides of the envelope.
