Pros: Food is good, atmosphere is unique, staff was friendly
Cons: Pasta should be a standard tag-a-long with dishes such as Chicken Parmesan
The Bottom Line: Unique, fun experience. Buca separates itself from the other restaurant chains.

| mytwosweeties's Full Review: Buca di Beppo |
My family and I visited Buca Di Beppo on Mother's Day this year (2003). We'd never heard of this chain before, so we thought we'd give it a try. We loved the kitchen tour that you receive on your first visit to their restaurant. My son is an aspiring chef, so he especially found this fun. We were a little taken aback at first by the ordering "style" (family size portions menu, and everything is ala carte), but decided to "go with it". My husband and I ordered the Dinner for Two, which came with your choice of an entree (there were about 5 main dishes available for the dinner for two menu), salad, and two sides (pasta and garlic mashed potatoes). We also ordered the garlic bread as an appetizer. The garlic was quite strong, but it was good. It isn't on the menu (written on the walls), but you CAN ordered children sized portions, which is exactly what we did for our two boys (spaghetti). Order carefully, because you can end up with a couple of days worth of meals "to go" if not careful, but overall, we enjoyed ourselves. The waitress was very friendly and helpful, ready to answer any questions we may have had. Buca Di Beppo's is a unique dining experience, great when need a switch from carbon copy restaurant chains.
