Very perceptive. (Reply to this comment)

The comment about a guy in a white t-shirt holding a Bud being what women want is right on target. Sadly, that's the shallow state of things in the US, and women, as soon as they get the slightest inkling that a guy is even a little "different," stay clear.
I haven't drunk a single "Bud" so far this year, although I have had Japanese beer that's not much better. To me, the alternative to beer is whisky.
But I guess the girls wouldn't approve of that, either.

As a college student I completly understand this review. Drink something better when available, drink bud and bear it the majority of the time. Yet Again great review.

Re: Ubiquity vs quality (Reply to this comment)

Fuche Bu and me are right on the same page. Had a Budweiser for the first time in many months last night at the Kings game, and only because the alternative was Coors Light. If fate decrees that I must drink a macrobrew, then it is almost always going to be MGD. But I would rather pay more money and get even only a slighter-better beer like Foster's or Labatt's Blue than drink a macro. I also hate Anheuser-Busch, because they INTENTIONALLY try to force micros out of business, as well as paying legistatures to pass laws that don't favor micros.

Ubiquity vs quality (Reply to this comment)
by fuche_bu
the word never is rather extreme but I can tell you point blank that I have consumed a single bottle of Budweiser in the year 2000. Only because the bar was out of Guinness and I didn't want to offend the cute barmaid. I very often drink water or coffee if Bud is the only choice. It's not the worst thing in the world. I just simply choose not to support the machinery of Anheuser Busch.

Nothing Wrong with Budweiser!!!!! (Reply to this comment)
by Bruguru
As you say many people enjoy it. There's nothing wrong with it, I just think people challenge their taste buds a little more and try other beers too.
Whatever your favorite food is, you wouldn't want it for breakfast. lunch, and dinner every day of the week. Why drink the same beer all the time?
Great job on this one.
