Budweiser is probably one of the most recognized brands in the world. Everyone knows Budweiser. They must have geniuses in their marketing department becuase there is nothing special about their beer. It pretty much tastes like what you expect a beer to taste like. I've never been sitting around the house thinking "Boy, I sure would like to have a Budweiser right about now." It just doesn't happen. If it's the only decent beer available then I'll choose it over the likes of Old Millwater or Icehouse, but on it's own it doesn't do anything to inspire desire.
A word about their marketing.
-Clydesdales: Good. Everyone likes horses and these are pretty darn classy.
-Frogs: Cute at first, got a little tiresome until they introduced...
-Lizards: Some of my all time favorite comercials involve these guys. The only bad thing is they have been replaced by...
-This "Wassup" (can't say cr@p): Who thought of this!? Where does he live and why doesn't someone beat him with a baseball bat! I've only heard bits and pieces of parodys on the net, and it's horrible. We must banish this campaign and exile it's creator just for spawning all these parodys.
To summarize, Bud Beer, not bad but nothing to write home about. Bud advertising, mostly good but when it's bad it's eye-gougingly horrible.
